ITZFEST is a fic fest dedicated to ITZY. Our main goal is to fill AO3 with ITZY-centric fics and introduce people to a lot of amazing ITZY writers.

INTRO
HOW IT WORKS?
The fest will be divided in five parts: prompting, claiming, writing, posting and reveals. During PROMPTING, everyone can send us fic ideas through the link we will share. Then CLAIMING begins, which is when writers will be able to see all the prompts that were sent to us and pick one of them to write. The writers also have the option to self prompt when the signs up begin. Please keep in mind that claiming will work on a first come first serve basis. WRITING period officially begins after claiming closes, lasting until the deadline. During POSTING we will make tweets with all the fics that were submitted to our AO3 collection. The authors will remain anonymous until REVEALS.

RULES
♡ The fic must have at least 2000 WORDS.
♡ All fics (chaptered or one-shots) written from CLAIMED PROMPTS must be COMPLETE.
♡ We will accept ongoing chaptered fics written from self-prompts.
♡ We have decided that explicit fics are NOT ALLOWED.
♡ We won't accept prompts that include rape, non-con, dub-con, etc.
♡ All authours must stay anonymous until REVEALS.

Do I need to have an AO3 account to join the fest?
Yes. We made a AO3 guide to help those who never used AO3 before.
Can I drop out of the fic fest? How do I do that?
Yes. We understand that life can get in the way and that writing is hard, so writers are free to drop out of the fest if they want. Send us an email or a DM saying you want to drop out and we will remove you from the fest. We kindly ask writers to communicate us about dropping out before the deadline (JUNE 12).
How do I keep my work anonymous?
Your fic will automatically become anonymous once you submit your work to our collection. You will still be able to edit and see your work once you submit it to the collection.
What is self prompting?
It means that writers have the option to write their own prompts instead of claiming one sent by someone else. If you want to use your own prompt you will have to wait for the self prompting period (MARCH 4 to APRIL 8). We will be sharing separate forms for regular claiming and self prompting.
Are crossovers allowed?
Crossovers are NOT allowed in this fest. ITZY (Band) should be the only fandom in your fic. Of course, you can use idols from other groups as side characters (e.g. Family, Friends) but never as the main ship.
Can I claim multiple prompts?
Yes, but only if you’ve finished and submitted your fic for the prompt you’ve claimed already!
Can I participate even if I've never posted or written ITZY fics before?
Yes! This fest is open to absolutely anyone! The only reason someone would be unable to join is if they have been banned from participating in ITZFEST R2 for ghosting the mods or breaking rules in the last round (our winter holiday fic exchange). Don't worry though, all existing bans are temporary and will be lifted for the following round :)
